Setting Up Email in Evolution

To connect to Exchange:

1. Open Evolution
2. If prompted, select Yes you would like to configure an email account. If you are not prompted: Select Edit > Preferences > Mail Accounts
3. Select Add on the right pane, click Forward
4. Enter your Name and Email address (which should be: [your username]@purdue.edu)
5. select Account Type: » IMAP
6. Enter Server: » ova.purdue.edu
7. Enter your username
8. Select TLS Encryption under Security
9. Select Password Authentication Type
10. Click Forward
11. Adjust Receiving options to your preference, and click Forward
12. Select Server Type SMTP
13. Enter Server » smtp.purdue.edu
14. Check Server Requires Authentication
15. Select SSL Encryption under Security
16. Authentication » PLAIN
17. Click Forward
18. Name the Account and you are finished.

To connect to Mailhub:

1. Open Evolution
2. If prompted, select Yes you would like to configure an email account. If you are not prompted: Select Edit > Preferences > Mail Accounts
3. Select Add on the right pane, click Forward
4. Enter your Name and Email address (which should be: [your username]@purdue.edu)
5. select Account Type: » IMAP
6. Enter Server: » mymail.purdue.edu
7. Enter your username
8. Select SSL Encryption under Security
9. Select Password Authentication Type
10. Click Forward
11. Adjust Receiving options to your preference, and click Forward
12. Select Server Type SMTP
13. Enter Server » smtp.purdue.edu
14. Check Server Requires Authentication
15. Select SSL Encryption under Security
16. Authentication » PLAIN
17. Click Forward
18. Name the Account and you are finished.
